AI & Automation Disclosure and Disclaimer

Last updated: June 21, 2026

Please read this disclaimer carefully. By accessing or using FireShield Wildfire News (the “Site”), you accept and agree to this disclaimer in full. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Content Is Automated

A substantial portion of the content on the Site — including wildfire incident reports, maps, images, acreage and containment figures, air-quality notes, and related summaries — is generated automatically by software and artificial-intelligence systems from third-party data feeds. This content is created, assembled, and updated programmatically and is published automatically without individual human review, editing, fact-checking, or verification. We do not represent that any particular article has been reviewed or approved by a person prior to publication.

2. Provided “As Is” — No Warranty

All content on the Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, with all faults, and without warranties or representations of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we expressly disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to any implied warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, timeliness, currency, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the content is or will be accurate, complete, current, reliable, uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Automated systems and their underlying data sources can and do produce errors, including data-ingestion errors, mislocated or mislabeled incidents, incorrect or stale figures, formatting errors, omissions, and misattribution. Wildfire conditions change rapidly, and information on the Site may be delayed, superseded, or wrong at any given moment.

3. Not Official Information and Not Advice

The Site is an independent, commercial publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official channel of any government, fire, emergency-management, or public-safety agency. Content on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute official notice, emergency instructions, or professional, legal, insurance, financial, real-estate, medical, or safety advice.

Do not rely on the Site for any decision affecting health, safety, life, or property. This includes decisions about evacuation, sheltering, travel, property protection, or insurance. Always obtain and follow official information and orders directly from the responsible authorities, including CAL FIRE, the National Interagency Fire Center, your local fire department and emergency-management agency, the National Weather Service, and official alert systems. In an emergency, call 911.

4. Assumption of Risk

Your use of the Site and any reliance on its content is entirely at your own risk. You are solely responsible for independently verifying any information before acting on it and for evaluating its suitability for your purposes.

5. Third-Party Data and Links

The Site relies on data and materials supplied by third parties, over which we have no control and for which we accept no responsibility. The Site may contain links to third-party websites and resources. Such links are provided for convenience only and do not constitute endorsement, and we are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, content, or practices of any third-party site or source. Links may be broken, outdated, redirected, or non-functional, and third-party content may change without notice.

6. No Duty to Update or Correct

Content reflects automated processing at a point in time and may not be current. We are under no obligation to update, correct, complete, or continue to publish any content, and we may add, change, suspend, or remove any content or feature at any time without notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall FireShield Wildfire Defense Systems, FireShield Wildfire News, or their owners, affiliates, officers, employees, agents, contractors, licensors, or data suppliers (the “Released Parties”) be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of life, personal injury, property damage, loss of profits, loss of data, or other loss, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to, use of, or inability to use the Site or its content, or any reliance on it, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Released Parties’ total aggregate liability for any and all claims relating to the Site shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site or your violation of this disclaimer.

9. Automated Content Labeling

Automated articles are labeled with an “Automated Content” notice for transparency. The absence of a label is not a representation that content was human-reviewed.

10. Changes to This Disclaimer; Governing Law

We may update this disclaimer at any time, and changes are effective upon posting. Your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the then-current version. This disclaimer is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
